Antikythera exhibition in Paris
The exhibition, at the Paris Musée des arts et metiers until the end of 2012, features a life-sized reconstitution of the Antikythera machine as well as an astonishing miniaturised version of the antique mechanism in a watch movement designed by Hublot.
“The Fingerprints of Genius”, an NVP3D film directed by Philippe Nicolet, traces the discovery of the machine and subsequent research. The film was shot on the site of the shipwreck at Antikythera and in Athens, at the National Archaeological Museum, where the 2150-year-old machine is housed.
